Q4 Staff Highlights
Last fall, the Boise-based Tyler team did two volunteer projects with the City of Boise’s Parks and Recreation department. Tyler Idaho pitched in and wrapped trees along the Boise River Greenbelt with chicken wire to protect them from beavers. On another day, we helped Boise Parks and Rec with its pollinator project by working on the Pollinator Garden at Mariposa Park. The Tyler Idaho staff helped add mulch to planting beds, remove weeds, and monitor pollinator use.
Giving back isn't just an idea — we aren't afraid to get our hands dirty to make an impact for our community. As we step into the new year, we're more committed than ever to rolling up our sleeves and making a difference.
Tyler Idaho Platforms: Solving State and Local Citizen Engagement Needs
Latah County Improves the Resident Experience with Engagement Builder
One year ago, Tyler Idaho launched an online payment portal for Latah County solid waste. The service was built using Engagement Builder, our low/no-code form builder platform, and can be replicated for other agencies and departments. By uploading a file from their existing billing database, or an API, agencies can now create an online portal where residents can enter their account number(s), see the balance due, and make a payment.
Last fall, we launched the new multi-account view and shopping cart feature. Now, residents or businesses can see all their account balances and utilize the shopping cart feature to make a payment for an unlimited number of accounts in a single transaction. This multiple-account payment cart feature is beneficial to users like Homeowners Associations (HOAs), rental owners, and family members managing multiple property accounts. In addition to the convenience of managing multiple accounts, this feature provides flexibility with partial or full payments for each account—streamlining the entire payment process.
Engagement Builder: Modernizing the Event Registration Process
Event registration is one of our most requested services. Using Tyler's Engagement Builder platform, agencies can create tailored, intuitive registration solutions without straining technical resources, and the user-friendly drag-and-drop modules allow agency staff to create and launch online forms swiftly.
We recently introduced new form fields to help organizers get the most out of the event registration experience:
- Early or late registration dates and fees
- Max number of attendees
- Registration groups: i.e. speakers, attendees, vendors, and more
- Sign-up options for activity offerings such as meals, workshops, session tracks, etc.
